Its origins date back to the end of the 17th Century and the birth of the British Ceramic Teapot. The original unglazed teapot was made out of red clay from the Bradell Woods area in Stoke-on-Trent. Today the Brown Betty teapot is still made in Stoke-on-Trent with the same clay from the original area
Tea comes in many varieties black, orange, green, and numerous herbal and berry varieties.
Tea with honey has long been prescribed for a sore throat, raspberry teas have been suggested for women in the latter stages of pregancy and green tea is thought to be a powerful anti-oxidant.
In some families tea pots such as the famous Brown Betty have been handed down through generations. Take some time to relax, put up your feet and enjoy a warm cup of something soothing like Mighy Tea’s
